1. Review Policy
Content Reviewed:
Romance Confidential primarily reviews romance books, which can span a wide range of genres and tropes. Below is a list of the genres currently accepted for review:
- Fantasy Romance
- Contemporary Romance
- Urban Romance
- Historical Romance
- Erotic Romance
- Dark Romance
- Romantic Suspense
- LGBTQIA+ Romance
- New Adult Romance
Currently, any books classified as YA will not be accepted for review. All books submitted for review or reviewed by author(s) at Romance Confidential are intended for mature audiences. If books being reviewed have trigger warnings, a list of TWs will be linked when possible in connection with the review. It is never the intention of Romance Confidential to trigger readers while providing honest reviews.
Formats Accepted:
The following formats are accepted for review:
- Physical Book
- eBook
- Advance Reader Copy (ARC)
Please note that eBooks and ARCs should preferably be Kindle formatted and compatible. At this time, audiobooks are not accepted.
Timeframe:
Books will be reviewed in a timely manner that best fits into Romance Confidential’s reading schedule. If an ARC is submitted for review with specific timeline requirements, those requirements will be met to the best of the author’s ability.
Honesty Disclaimer:
All reviews are honest and reflect the personal opinions of Romance Confidential blog authors, regardless of how the book was obtained (purchased, gifted, or provided by the publisher/author). This means reviews may not always be positive. If, for any reason, a Romance Confidential author is unable to finish an ARC, we will make every effort to inform the party that submitted it for review via email.
